Dear Mount Calvary Families,
Providing our children with a solid foundation of faith is one of our most important tasks as Christian parents, and at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, we are committed to supporting you in this effort.
We’re gearing up for our fall Sunday School, and we’d love to have your children participate!
On Sunday, September 12th, we will kick off our fall program of Christian education for the youth of the congregation. Once again, this year, we anticipate offering three levels of education representing different age groups:
- Age 4 – Third Grade – “Calvary Kids Crew” – Our youngest students will gather at 8:30am each Sunday in Sander Hall for a lesson that revolves around one of the bible stories read in worship that weekend, and rejoin their families in the middle of the worship service.
- Fourth – Sixth Grade – This “next level” class provides an additional opportunity for older students who are ready for more in-depth lessons about faith and life. This group will meet for approximately an hour after worship each Sunday (approx. 10am-11am).
- Confirmation (Seventh & Eighth Grade) – Students in their first or second year of confirmation will meet after worship as they learn about living a life of faith in preparation for confirmation/affirmation of baptism (approx. 10am-11am).

P.S. Don’t forget our final installment of “God’s Secret Agents of Change” is Saturday, August 21st. This mini-VBS for pre-school and elementary aged children runs from 4-5pm, with a picnic dinner for families at 5pm, and the warm invitation to join us for Saturday evening worship at 5:30pm.
